Carol,
I purchased your program (the Candy 4WAY Phonics INSTANT DOWNLOAD)
earlier today. I usually ask for professional review copies, but your
program is so reasonable that I just went ahead and bought the download
program. I am a retired elementary public school teacher with a special
interest in phonics. I am not completely retired, because I work for a
private Christian school.
I have carefully looked at all 50 pdf documents. I think your program ranks
as one of the best I have ever seen; and I have seen a lot, as a visit to my
website www.donpotter.net will verify. I have already placed a link to your
website on my Education page, along with a short recommendation.
I especially like the "Christian emphasis."
Your Document #2 is loaded with accurate and honest information that is very
hard to come-by in education circles these days.
I was trained in whole-language, but early on in my career I read Rudolf
Flesch and Samuel Blumenfeld. I have extensive experience teaching both
their methods.
Your vowel charts are very reminiscent of the old Open Court and Phonovisual
Charts - both of which owed a lot to the work of Caroline Yale and Mildred
McGinnis. (Association Method).
May the Lord bless your efforts richly so a lot of children will learn to
read well.
