Diphthongs
Diphthongs are vowel sounds produced by two adjacent vowels whose sounds blend together to create a single new sound.
When pronouncing diphthongs, the tongue moves to produce a definite change of sound during the pronunciation. There is a quality of sound at the start of the pronunciation and a different quality of sound at the end of the pronunciation.
