You also receive the entire program (including the printed materials you have received) on CD-Rom. QUESTION:  How is this program different from the computer-based phonics programs I see advertised?

We realize that parents want "the quick fix" for their child, but it just doesn't work that way.  Teaching your child to read needs to happen one-on-one because teaching your child to read involves building a "reading- lesson" relationship with your child.  What do we mean by that?

QUESTION:  How are your Candy Story Readers different from the readers in other phonics programs?
Some phonics programs use their story readers to actually teach children to read. We ABSOLUTELY DO NOT encourage that method to teach phonetic reading. We believe that those types of phonics methods can be compared with placing a child into a state athletic game competition without ever taking him through the daily athletic practices offered to the rest of the team.

We do, however, realize the importance to a child of reading actual stories throughout his phonics training. This is because reading stories teaches our children that reading is fun and enjoyable and something they will want to do for the rest of their lives to gain information. The comprehensive nature of our program, therefore, has your child read a sequenced story reader following after every 5 Daily 4WAY Phonics Lessons beginning with the second level of the program.
